Day 7

Overview

In Day 7, we will cover security measures that protect devices and information from unauthorized access and that encode data to prevent unauthorized access. Students will review what they learned in their reading regarding the history of cryptography and encryption by decoding a message. Students will learn what the history of cryptography teaches us for the Internet age. Students will then discuss the answers they found to the questions related to their reading.

Day 7 will be about:

• The field of Cryptography.
• The history of Cryptography.
• Lessons for the Internet age.
• How to make a Vigenère cipher for an image.
